Tea Time

With over two feet of snow falling in my neck of the Mid-Atlantic, I thought it would be the perfect time to talk about one of my favorite things: tea. My collection is extensive, and that's the way I like it. I'm the same way with books -- even though I have plenty, I always want more if the title sounds good.

Each picture has my favorites of that category, which include: Earl Grey, Chai/Oolong, British Breakfast, Rooibos, White/Green, and Herbal. Also, some pictures feature my favorite mugs. I usually take my tea with just sugar, but some of the darker ones (Creamy Caramel, Chai, and occasionally Earl Grey) I'll add some creamer or milk. I'm trying to stay local -- the ones in the clear plastic bags, I got at Rehoboth Beach; the ones in the round silver tins, in Downtown Frederick; and the Capital Teas Earl Grey tin in Annapolis. If you'd like more info on where to get these teas, just let me know!

Tea has amazing health benefits, and the ones with caffeine wake me up much more naturally than coffee. I prefer Chai and Earl Grey because they don't give me the caffeine jitters. The herbal teas I love when I'm feeling under the weather. The yellow and green camomile box I got a few years ago when I was in Paris and so sick. I'm holding on to the last remaining bags, even though I'm sure they should have been thrown away by now. The English Breakfast tins of the Double Decker and Telephone Booth were sent to me by a very good friend. So, some teas I hold on for sentimental value.

There's nothing more relaxing for me, whether at work or home, than making a hot cup of tea. Even better if I can cozy up with a thick blanket, a book or my favorite TV show. For this snow day, I've been spending most of my day cleaning, but I enjoyed reading my devotional this morning, and just enjoying the snow falling. I'll link my Blogger post for what I typically do on snow days. If you're getting snow, be safe, stay warm, and have fun! :)
