2019 Reading List

Big news! I read five more books in 2018 than I read in 2017, and three more than my overall goal of one a month. I would say reading made a comeback for me last year! Right now, I have 16 books on my list - let's see if I can squeeze in one extra this year.
I read a lot of really great, empowering, educational, mind-opening books this past year, and I'm excited to see what 2019 has in store. I'm not putting so much stress on myself this year to read books that "matter" - I always want to be learning something and to grow my mind, but I'm really just going to try to read books that sound interesting and engaging to me without the pressure of if my world will be rocked afterward or whether it was a classic. If they turn out to be mostly novels this year, then okay. If not, that's fine too.
Of course, some of the books below are carried over from years prior, but a big goal of mine for 2019 is to not buy more books. Instead, I'm really trying to read what is already on my shelf. If any new books come out that catch my eye, I'll add them to my Amazon wishlist (as there are already so many good ones on there), and I'll see where I'm at in 2020.
As always, this is an active list that I will be updating throughout the year, so make sure to check back periodically! And let me know what books are on your list for the upcoming year. Without further adieu, here is my reading list for 2019!!
